1936 was improving over the 1935 season for the Brough Works, a total of 187 machines being produced, almost double that of 1935.
1 of the JAP SS100, 2 of the OHV 680, 18 of the 11/50 model, 16 of the new SS100 with Matchless engines and last but by no means least 150 of last years new model the SS80 with the Matchless engine.
JAP had become too expensive and quality control(or lack of) lingered in the background.
SS100 Matchless at £140, or with the |BS spring wheel for an extra £10.
SS80 Matchless at £90, or with the |BS spring wheel for an extra £10.
11/50 JAP at £118, or with the |BS spring wheel for an extra £10.
By this time production had become somewhat standardised, by BS Works practice anyway. You could still have what you wanted - with the right amount of cash.
At the very end of the year, Lucas had marketed the new voltage regulator, allowing people to forget having to set the light switch to the charge setting.
