Further to my post about the original Watsonian brochures I have picked up, here are a series of clickable links to images in my Andale gallery showing the 1934 Watsonian brochure as a sample ..... also tapped on the end is a 1936 Watsonian Hire Purchase application form which suggests that if you were a woman or didn't own furniture ( ! ), then you stood precious little chance of obtaining HP on watsonian products !!!

The original catalogues I have obtained cover much of the 1930's ( excluding 1933, 1935 and 1939 ) and none of them feature the Watsonian 'Cruiser' which Brough supplied with Petrol Tube chassis. ( the 'Cabin Cruiser' is pictured, but that was completely different to the 'Cruiser' ).

Could it be therefore, that the Cruiser had either a very short lifespan or wasn't offered for sale to the general public ?

Has anyone ever seen a Cruiser on another make of bike ?

I will put images of the 1920's Watsonian sidecars on in the next few days if I get the chance.

Also, for those of you pursuing total originality, the finish Watsonian specified on their painted bodies is described as Cellulose in the 1936, 1937 and 1938 catalogues. There may be some mention of the type of paint used in the other years, but I haven't had time to closely read them yet and the layout is different.
